CloudHaus is a Johannesburg-based furniture design and manufacturing studio creating locally made pieces for homes, commercial spaces and custom projects.
Founder story
Built from a background in architecture.
CloudHaus was founded by Jared Fynn, whose background in architectural design shaped the studio's point of view. The work begins with proportion, human comfort and a quiet respect for how furniture sits inside a room.
Rather than treating each piece as decoration, CloudHaus approaches furniture as part of a spatial brief. That keeps the work calm, personal and technically considered.

CloudHaus brings together two ideas: the softness and ease people want from furniture, and the structure, proportion and technical thinking that make a piece work in a real space.
The name reflects that balance - human comfort on one side, architectural discipline on the other.

From concept to delivery, we work through each detail carefully.
The process is structured but personal, moving from inspiration and spatial thinking through technical checks, production and delivery.

We start with the brief, the room, and any references that help define the mood and use of the piece.

We shape the furniture so it fits the room, the project and the way it will be lived with.

Fabric, dimensions and configuration
Materials, sizing and layout are confirmed with the customer before the work is released for production.

CAD and technical confirmation
We review the drawings and technical detail so the piece is ready to be built accurately.

Pieces are made locally with trusted makers and suppliers close to the studio.

CloudHaus products are locally manufactured, and pieces can be customised to suit the brief. Materials, dimensions and finishes are confirmed before production begins so the result feels deliberate from the start.
The team works closely with local makers and suppliers, keeping the process grounded in Johannesburg while still supporting projects across South Africa.
